Our breeding goal is to produce quality miniature donkeys with excellent conformation, and great dispositions, with an emphasis on sorrel, black, and dark brown miniature donkeys.  Our breed stock is carefully selected after studying each donkey's conformation, pedigree, size, color, and disposition.  This allows us to select genetically desirable donkeys, representing strong, unrelated, diverse pedigrees. Each mating is carefully planned to strengthen the genetics contributed by the parents.  Using this approach, we strive to continually improve the miniature donkey breed, especially in the sorrel, black, and dark colorations.

We are breeding with 2 sorrel jacks, and 2 black jacks and expect to have about 30 foals. Our breeding jennets have been chosen for their conformation, temperament, and color, from diverse bloodlines, to complement these jacks. The jennets range from 30.5 inches to 34.5 inches, with most of them between 32 to 33.5 inches. Every foal produced carries at least 50% sorrel or black genetics.

MGF Black Knight, 32.5" black with white points
My World Santana, 31" dark red sorrel
HHAA Majove, 32" black with white points
The Elms Rembrandt, 31 7/8" black w/cross

We have selected a very genetically diverse herd to work with. This diversity in bloodlines allows us to select the jennet and jack to improve conformation and produce the most desirable colors. Our vision is to breed donkeys with straight legs, square and balanced builds, well muscled, with perfect teeth. Temperament is important, and our donkeys are gentle and friendly. We are working towards this goal primarily with rich colors of brown, sorrel and black.
